What is myWebCT?
myWebCT is a single webpage which lists all the WebCT courses you
are enrolled in. Once you have logged into WebCT, you
can access any of your courses from this page.
To access your myWebCT page, go to:
http://online.murdoch.edu.au
Use your Student Number and Murdoch Password (Mais
Pin) to login. Logging in to WebCT is case sensitive
and the initial Murdoch Password sent in the mail must
be typed in CAPITALS.
The myWebCT page will then be displayed. This page is divided into
three main areas:

1. Courses
If units you are enrolled in have a WebCT component, they will
be listed under "Courses". In the example above,
the student has one unit with a WebCT component.
To go to the Unit Homepage, click on the unit title
e.g. "ABC123 Introduction to WebCT".
Not all units have a WebCT course. If you expect your unit to
have a WebCT component, and the unit name is not displayed under "Courses",
contact the Student Helpdesk.
Course News
Unit coordinators may choose to display news items.
Course news is displayed using icons. If action
needs to be taken within 2 days, a notice will appear e.g.
1 quiz must be submitted soon.

Course News icons indicate that:
 |
There are Quizzes or Surveys available. |
 |
There are Assignments available. |
 |
There are new Mail messages. |
 |
There are new Discussion postings. |
 |
There are new Calendar entries. |
 |
There are new Grades available. |
The unit coordinator may choose for Course News icons to be links.
If the news items are linked, you can click on the
icon and be taken directly to the news item e.g.
a new quiz. If the news items are not linked, click
on the unit's title to go to the unit homepage.
2. Bookmarks
Institutional Bookmarks
Institutional Bookmarks are displayed on everybody's myWebCT
screen. Links to university-wide resources, such
as LITE Exercises and the Murdoch Library are available.
By clicking the Bookmarks link, you can choose
to Hide or Reveal Institutional Bookmarks.
Personal Bookmarks
Personal Bookmarks can be added
to myWebCT. They are only visible to the
person who added to bookmarks. Adding Personal Bookmarks
allows you to easily access your favourite personal
links.
To add your own Personal Bookmarks:
- Click Bookmarks.

- Under Options: Personal Bookmarks click
Create Bookmark.

- Enter a Name and Location (URL) for your bookmark, then
click Add
Bookmark.

Your bookmark will now be added. Move, hide or reveal,
edit and delete are other actions you can perform
on Personal Bookmarks.
3. Announcements
The announcements area of your myWebCT page will display messages
from the Server Administrator, including messages
indicating when WebCT will be unavailable.
