Help Download Files from the Internet Downloading involves transferring files from one computer to another computer. You can download single files or multiple files in .zip format. Downloading is different on a PC and a Mac. To download, you choose files from a webpage that you want to download, and then click on the linked file name to begin the download process. During the download process, you select a folder on your computer where you want to save the downloaded file. Once the download is complete, you may need to browse to that folder to access the downloaded file. Windows XP and Internet Explorer 6 To download from Windows XP, using Internet Explorer 6,
The download window will pop-up.
You will be prompted to choose a folder on your computer in which to save your download.
The file will now download to the selected folder
Once the download is complete,
To download from Macintosh OS X, using Netscape 7.0:
The download window will pop-up.
You will be prompted to choose a folder on your computer in which to save your download.
The file will now save in the selected folder. Depending on the size of the file, the download could take some time to complete. When your download is complete, your computer will automatically unzip any .zip files to the folder you selected during the save process.
